Welcome to the home of NBT - Nothing But Throws

It is our hope here at Spinrite that this site will not only be Throws Central but will also provide a forum and reference site for all those throwers out there in Oz. I am quite comfortable with the fact that I am unashamedly throws oriented, and it will not take too long on this site to either embrace this or give up and try elsewhere.

While this site is fresh and under construction there will be a rash of new content from time to time, so please do not hesitate to join us here at any time. I am hoping very soon to have not only the shop, but also a reference site for training hints, coaching articles and throws sites available elsewhere on the web, along with a Hall of Fame, video extracts of famous (and not so famous) throwers along with some history and folklore extracts.

With great pleasure I can announce the third in the series of Coaching DVD's. This series is aimed at the beginner athlete, coach, parent or teacher who has little or limited knowledge of the event. It takes the athlete from basics and then through a progression of turns. It also includes drills and rules and regulations of the event (albeit Victorian oriented).

NBT SHOP

This site grew out of a repeated conversation with parents who had difficulty finding throws equipment at an affordable price. Principal issues were the fact that younger athletes grow and progress through their age groups. Proper sized equipment was not only difficult to find, but very expensive. This is not only true for shoes, but also for the weight and size of implements. Every two years or so, a younger athelete will progress from one size shotput, discus or javelin into a bigger or heavier size, and the replacement of these is an expensive. I have tried to source the best value equipment that I can and also tried to keep the price in the affordable bracket. At the same time I have tried to ensure that it is still quality equipment, but perhaps without the big name (and price tag) of others. I can confidently say that all equipment complies with the size and shape required by the Victorian Little Athletics Association Inc at this time. Please check with your relevant governing body as to local requirements. I am afraid that the range has already been extended to cover non-throw events, but I am happy to help out the less enlightened.
